- Dr. Oscar Lovelace started an independent solo family medicine practice in Prosperity, SC, the home town of his grandparents, on August 1, 1988. He received his medical degree from MUSC in Charleston, SC in 1985 and served as Chief Resident in Family Medicine at UVA in Charlottesville, VA in 1988. The practice remains independent and provides full scope rural medicine including ambulatory, inpatient (including non-operative and operative obstetrics), as well as skilled care - following patients throughout the span of life. Our mission since 1988 "compassionate, quality care to the glory of God".
