After internship, she crossed London’s hallowed threshold into residency training at University College London, rotating through Whittington Hospital. There, she learned to diagnose appendicitis before the CT scan did, mastered the art of surviving night shifts with NHS tea, and treated a gloriously diverse patient population who taught her that medicine is part science, part humanity, and part deciphering thick London accents at 3 a.m.
  
  After making a move to the US she received a AA degree in fashion design. Returned to medicine and research at UCLA, completed her residency at the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science's College of Medicine in 2004, and subsequently pursued a fellowship in geriatric medicine at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine/UCLA Medical Center in 2005.
  She currently serves as a partner physician at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center and is involved in training Residents and Fellows.
