- Dr. Paul Casey is an emergency medicine specialist who is currently semi-retired. . He completed his medical education at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in 1986, followed by a residency and internship in Emergency Medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center. Eight years of active duty Army service included participation in Operations Desert Shield/Storm and Restore Hope in Somalia.
Dr. Casey began his civilian career at Providence Medical Center, Seattle, WA, which later became Swedish Medical Center, Cherry Hill Campus, where he served as Department Chair and Chief of Staff. He developed expertise in blood conservation and served as Medical Director of an Advanced Bloodless program and participated in the speaker's bureau of the Society for the Advancement of Blood Managment.
In 2004 Dr. Casey moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin to assume the position of Medical Director of Emergency Services at Bellin Health, a position he held until semi-retirement in September 2024. During his tenure at Bellin, Dr. Casey served as Department Chair, Chief of Staff, and member of the Foundation Board of Directors.
Dr. Casey was instrumental in Bellin's response to the Covid pandemic including being a member of the Incident Command team and chairing the treatment guidelines team. He made 23 national media appearances during the pandemic.
In 2023, Dr. Casey started the Utilization Management Physician Advisor program, and continues to participate as a physican advisor in semi-retirement.
