Summary

• I am a board certified internal medicine physician with 20 years of clinical experience. As the landscape of medicine has changed I have adapted to thrive in it. I started my career owning my own private practice and presided over an Independent Physician Organization. I have embraced the advance to electronic health records working as a physician champion and harnessing the power of the data to manage a panel of patients to improve clinical outcomes. I currently utilize my experience to lead a medical clinic of 3 physicians and a nurse practitioner that use a population health model to provide team based care for over 5000 patients. My UW Health clinic is a participant in the Next Generation ACO of CMS. Our performance in this arrangement has led to consistent positive monetary returns for our organization and high quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
  
  I also actively engage in teaching future physicians, demonstrating the impact that quality primary care affords patients. By modeling the use of data management and efficiency of practice, I try to inspire students to embrace the complexity of internal medicine.
  
  I look forward using my varied experiences to advance the care of patients and also support the work of physicians and other health care providers to enjoy the practice of medicine.
