Summary

Dr. Paul Nelson, based in Oxford, MS, is a specialist in Family Medicine and Aerospace Medicine.
He completed his medical education at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine in 1993, followed by an internship and primary residency at Malcolm Grow USAF Medical Center (Andrews Air Force Base). He practice full spectrum Family Medicine before becoming a Flight Surgeon, later completing the USAF Residency in Aerospace Medicine (RAM). He completed a 31 year Air Force career in 2020, and took a 5 year sabbatical from clinical practice, working in non clinical roles in Aerospace and Preventive Medicine, as well as business and non-profit work committed to helping Veterans and their families and growing the next generation of clinical and Aerospace Medicine professionals. He will return to clinical medicine in 2026.
