Dr. Paul J. Therattil is a board-certified plastic surgeon and fellowship-trained microsurgeon. He performs the full breadth of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, breasts, and body with a specific interest in free flap breast reconstruction and extremity salvage. Dr. Therattil completed additional training in breast reconstruction and complex microsurgery at the University of Pennsylvania - the highest volume breast reconstruction center in the nation. Here he learned advanced muscle-sparing techniques in perforator free flap breast reconstruction (i.e. DIEP flap). He also spent time training in extremity salvage techniques as well as targeted muscle reinnervation to prevent and treat phantom limb pain in amputees. Dr. Therattil operates in northern New Jersey and is based out of Bergen County.
