Overview of Dr. Haigh
Dr. Peter Haigh is a non-invasive cardiologist at the University of Kentucky. He graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine and then completed his internal medicine residency and cardiovascular medicine fellowship at the University of Wisconsin. He has advanced training in nuclear cardiology and echocardiography, including transesophageal echocardiography guidance for structural heart interventions. At UK, Dr. Haigh is the Director of Interventional Echocardiography and an imaging specialist for the Structural Heart Program. Dr. Haigh also serves as a core faculty member for the Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship at UK to teach and mentor trainees as they progress through their medical training. In the clinic, Dr. Haigh focuses on prevention of cardiovascular disease with patients, highlighting the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle and management of cardiovascular risk factors, including hypertension and hyperlipidemia.
