Summary

  • Dr. Peter Perdik is an actively practicing physician who is board certified in both internal medicine and pulmonary diseases. He also has a master’s degree in healthcare management and has practiced for over 20 years in large ambulatory care, multispecialty physician groups. His professional experiences have given him a broad perspective of the healthcare industry including both primary and specialty clinical practices. In addition to his greatly valued one on one relationships with his patients, Dr. Perdik has also served in executive leadership roles for his organizations, having the opportunity to impact on the lives of hundreds of thousands of patients
    .
Dr Perdik is currently practicing in Lake Success, NY, confronting the relentless evolution of the healthcare system. His current care team includes a dedicated staff of nurses, care managers, medical assistants and patient service representatives. Together they handle the primary care needs of the surrounding communities, evaluating and managing complex medical issues, while also seeking the elusive balance between quality, value, productivity and patient experience. All of this activity is founded on information technology systems which are in relatively early stages of development and operability.

In 2005 he co-founded the Physicians Proactive Protection, RRG, a medical professional liability company, and served as president/CEO for 10 years. The creative and innovative approaches developed with his risk management and quality improvement team focused on decreasing preventable harm to patients and dramatically reduced malpractice claims against the medical group providers. This successful self-insurance venture also saw the accumulation of tens of millions of dollars in surplus capital.

Dr. Perdik has also been a national and international speaker at industry forums sharing his knowledge and experiences in these areas.
