Summary

  • I am a board certified and fellowship trained anterior segment surgeon specializing in routine and complex cataract and glaucoma surgery. The patients I take care of range from those with mild ocular diseases to most complex and challenging conditions that require multi-disciplinary expertise. I serve as an editor for a number of high profile Ophthalmology journals, including Ophthalmology. I am also a standing Study Section member for the National Institute of Health. I lead Foundation and NIH funded clinical trials and basic science laboratory research. I am active in American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Glaucoma Society, and have received a number of awards including AAO Secretariat Award. I also serve as a Professional Advisory Board member for the National Marfan Foundation. I have trained numerous undergraduates, medical students, ophthalmology residents, glaucoma fellows and postdoctoral research fellows. Lastly, I have lectured internationally, nationally and locally and published extensively in peer reviewed journals.
