- Moore Metabolics is an innovative weight loss program led by metabolic surgeon and weight loss specialist Dr. Rachel Moore. Dr. Moore runs her practice with commitment, professionalism, and innovation and is a leader in the bariatric surgery industry. She is a Fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (FASMBS), serves on the Access to Care Committee and the National Insurance Committee, and is also the Louisiana State Medical Society representative to the Louisiana Health Care Commission, a division of the Department of Insurance in Baton Rouge.
Dr. Rachel Moore is the Chief of the Section of Metabolic Surgery at Louisiana State University Department of Surgery and works as a Clinical Assistant Professor devoting her time outside of her practice to promoting the field and positively guiding future bariatric surgeons. She was recently elected as Treasurer for the Louisiana state chapter of the American College of Surgeons where she provides more regional leadership.
She specializes in the treatment of obesity, moreover, laparoscopic metabolic and bariatric procedures. And as one of the only female general surgeons in the area, Dr. Moore is highly aware and trained on women's heath issues and the treatment of diseases that specifically ail women.
