- Rajiv M Mallipudi, MD, MHS is a board-certified internal medicine hospitalist physician, healthcare systems clinical researcher, and passionate medical educator who currently serves as the Unit Medical Director of the Northeast 10 Cardiology Unit at Yale New Haven Health Bridgeport Hospital in the Division of Hospital Medicine, and concurrently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. He has previously served as the Unit Medical Director of the Northeast 9 COVID-19 Unit, West Tower 10 Stroke Unit, and East Tower 8 Med-Surg Unit at Bridgeport Hospital. At Yale New Haven Health Bridgeport Hospital, Dr. Mallipudi led one of the first COVID-19 medical units, and served as the Physician Lead for COVID-19 in the Division of Hospital Medicine and collaborated with several teams and senior leadership members throughout the Yale New Haven Health system to address the ongoing patient needs during the COVID-19 crisis. He is also a Physician Lead for Transitional Care Rounds, which is an interdisciplinary committee that aims at reducing the length of stay within Yale New Haven Health Bridgeport Hospital. In addition, he serves on the Billing and Coding Curriculum, the Patient Experience Committee, and serves as a member of the Medical Executive Nominating Committee at Bridgeport Hospital.
