Summary

  • Clinical interests:
My practice is limited to care of the hip and knee. He has particular interest in degenerative joint disease of the hip and knee. Other areas of focus include treatment of development dysplasia of the hip, avascular necrosis, post-traumatic arthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis. I specialize in hip and knee joint replacement, unicompartmental knee replacement, hip resurfacing, patient specific knee implants, complex revision hip and knee surgery, and hip fractures.

    Research Interests:
My research interest includes both clinical and basic science. He has published studies on topics ranging from hip fracture fixation to outcomes of total hip replacements. I have received a young investigator grant for the Orthopaedic Research and Education Fund to explore patients; risk aversion from new technologies in total joint replacement. I am involved in total joint biomechanics research at NYU.

    Background:
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from both his bachelor in science and masters degree in biomedical engineering from Ben-Gurion University. I graduated Valedictorian of his medical class at Ben-Gurion University. He completed a general surgery internship and residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. Subsequently, I completed fellowship training in adult reconstruction/total joint replacement surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston.

    Volunteer Work:
I am part of Operation Walk International, and have taken part in medical missions in the Dominican Republic were total joint replacement surgery is conducted on underserviced populations.
