For over 20 years as a board-certified internist I have enjoyed the traditional role of taking care of my patients in the office as well as in the hospital when they're at their most vulnerable. I gained a reputation for strong commitment to quality improvement and patient safety through many activities with the collaboration of my outstanding partners such as National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and the Comprehensive Primary Care Initiative (CPCI). I attribute our office's consistent high Press-Ganey patient satisfaction score to my philosophy of establishing a meaningful personal relationship and ongoing partnership with my patients. Our office also was involved in many pilot projects such as care guidance RN for population health, in-office licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) for patient counseling, express check-in, telemedicine and more. I continue to strive to learn about all aspects of medicine through my leadership roles as hospital department chief, peer review committee chair, utilization review committee chair and the medical executive committee.
