He was also board certified in Hematology (Internal Medicine) in 1996 and Medical Oncology in 1997. Dr. Heung received his medical degree from the China Medical Univeristy in 1984. He served his internship specializing in Internal Medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital in Maryland and served his residency specializing in Internal Medicine at Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital. He also completed a fellowship at UCSD and City of Hope Medical Center, specializing in Medical Oncology and Hematology as well as bone marrow transplant. He was an assistant Professor of Medicine at Albany Medical School. He also participated in clinical trials of oncology as well as Genomic Medicine.
