- Additionally trained in tropical diseases and served as army preventive medicine officer in Vietnam and among other things, investigated tropical disease outbreaks and conducted drug abuse research there.
Board certified in Preventive Medicine. Served 25 years as Director of Health of the City of Kansas City and all that entails, including was president of the US Conference of City Health Officers. Then formed a consulting firm in board leadership (served on over 30 boards in my career and took training in Policy Governance).
