  • I received my Doctor of Medicine degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1993 where I was given the James D. Heard Award for Outstanding Achievement in Medicine. Prior to that, I received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic College in 1987. I completed my residency in Emergency Medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in 1996. I later obtained Fellowship in the American College of Emergency Physicians in 2003. I have been a Clinical Faculty Member at Harbor-UCLA since 1996.

    I worked for over 14 years in the Emergency Department at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. I also have many years of employment in various community hospitals in California including Bay Harbor Hospital in Harbor City, Friendly Hills Hospital in La Habra, Tulare Regional Medical Center and Long Beach Community Hospital.

    I spent 18 years serving underprivileged Native American Navajo Indian populations through the United States Federal Indian Services in Gallup and Shiprock, New Mexico, as well as in Fort Defiance, Arizona, and Eagle Butte, South Dakota.

    I was an Emergency Medicine Consultant at Sunshine Hospital, St. Albans and Western Hospital, Footscray in Melbourne, Australia in 2012 and 2013 where I was affiliated with the University of Melbourne School of Medicine.

    Since 2015 I have been working as an Attending Physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at United Family Hospital in Beijing, China.

    I am Board Certified by the American College of Emergency Physicians and the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, where I also hold a subspecialty certification in Physiotherapy. I have been licensed to practice Medicine in Australia and China.

    I am certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Advanced Trauma Life Support.
