Summary
- As a Surgical Oncologist, my career has been driven by a commitment to advancing cancer treatments and improving outcomes for patients and their families. I’ve had the privilege of participating in more than 70 clinical trials and studies, helping to move the field of surgical oncology forward through innovation and evidence-based care.
My work has resulted in over 430 peer-reviewed publications and more than 215 oral presentations, reflecting my passion for sharing knowledge and fostering collaboration across disciplines. My clinical focus is on pancreatic, liver, and upper gastrointestinal cancers, areas where I've worked to bring new techniques and technologies into practice to improve patient care.
Throughout my career, I’ve helped build and lead new treatment programs including, Y-90 radioembolization, microwave ablation, and irreversible electroporation, at institutions where these options previously didn’t exist. I’ve also served as a case observation site for complex surgical procedures, welcoming opportunities to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to broader advancements in surgical oncology.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my work has been mentoring nearly 100 medical students and residents. I take great pride in helping shape the next generation of physicians, emphasizing not only academic and clinical excellence but also compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for the patients we serve.
