- Dr. Poppiti is the Chair of the A.M. Rywlin M.D. Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida and Professor and Chair of the Department of Pathology for the F.I.U. Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. In addition, he is a Voluntary Professor of Pathology at the U.M. Miller School of Medicine and a Clinical Professor of Pathology for Nova Southeastern University. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
Dr. Poppiti contributes leadership services for numerous national and regional professional organizations. He also serves in roles such as Ambassador for the Unites States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, Commissioner for Southern Florida for the College of American Pathologists Laboratory Accreditation Program and Delegate to the House of Delegates of the College of American Pathologists. In addition, he served as President of the Medical Staff of Mount Sinai Medical Center from July 2021 to June 2023.
