Summary

I am a Resident Physician training to become a child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist. I have chosen this career path because I keenly appreciate the impact that access to mental healthcare can have on a person's life. Through my work I hope to provide culturally sensitive and compassionate psychiatric care to patients of all ages and backgrounds. In addition to my enthusiasm for mental health, I'm also passionate about global health, preventive medicine and addressing health disparities. Outside medicine my interests and hobbies include SCUBA diving, snorkeling, and kayaking as well as nature walks, playing card games, word games, sudoku and kakuro. I'm originally from Somerset, Bermuda but I've also lived in Maryland, California, Pennsylvania and Florida. I graduated from Stanford University with a BA in Human Biology and a minor in Portuguese and I completed a post-baccalaureate program at the University of Pennsylvania prior to graduating from medical school at the University of South Florida.
