- Dr. Russell Vang is a gynecologic pathologist at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He completed his medical education at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1995, followed by a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston from 1995 to 2000. He pursued fellowships in surgical pathology at Stanford University Medical Center and in gynecologic and breast pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in 2000 and 2001, respectively. Dr. Vang has authored several publications, including studies on ovarian serous borderline tumors and serous tubal intraepithelial carcinoma (STIC), which have been published in reputable journals such as American Journal of Surgical Pathology, Modern Pathology, and International Journal of Gynecologic Pathology. He currently serves as the Director of the Gynecologic Pathology In-house Service, Co-director of the Gynecologic Pathology Consultation Service, and Co-director of the Gynecologic Pathology Fellowship Training Program. In addition, Dr. Vang is on the editorial boards of American Journal of Surgical Pathology and International Journal of Gynecologic Pathology.
