Summary

  • When I finished my fellowship, I stayed on faculty at UCSF for 5 years. Running the pain service was my dream job but the long work hours and long commute were exhausting. I had little energy left for my three kids, my husband or myself. We owed more than 250K in student loans and our salaries were stagnant.
Can you imagine a two-physician household living in the Bay Area and barely scraping by? That was US.

We moved to Baton Rouge, LA. After two years of working for an anesthesia group, I started my own practice. I built a 25K building to house my practice and a multispecialty ASC. The first couple of years were filled with so many sleepless nights from the growing pains. Every day was anadventure as I was constantly refining the process.

Soon, I had three FULL offices, an EXTREMELY successful ASC, an anesthesia management company and multiple other related businesses.

You should be able to live life and practice medicine.

I mastered what I call the "5 MOST valuable areas of medicine."
    1. How to Start YOUR Own Practice.
    2. How to Grow Your Practice—Marketing, Satellite Offices and more.
    3. How to Build A Team and Create Systems and Automation So You CAN Take Time Off.
    4. How To Start, Build or Buy an Ambulatory Surgery Center and other Ancillary Services
    5. How to KEEP A Practice Growing Even When You're Doing Good!

I'm sure you can imagine, all of this is like taking 5 crash courses on business management, marketing, and team development!

Trust me, it’s been very frustrating at times since there was NOTHING out there that teaches you HOW you can do this stuff. Medical school, Residency and Fellowship DEFINITELY missed the mark when it came to this!

I LOVE teaching and training other physicians and showing them the exact steps to not only create, market, grow and effectively leverage their practice.

That’s why I have created Life Course MD, my online education platform exclusively for physicians like you.
