Dr. Sanford Archer is a physician and surgeon based in Lexington, KY, with a specialty in Otolaryngology (ENT). He completed his medical education at The Chicago Medical School, followed by an internship and residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Archer is currently a tenured Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, having helped start the ENT department there in 1988. He has held several notable positions, including the Medical Director of the Voice and Swallowing Clinic and the Otolaryngology Allergy clinic at the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital. He has extensive experience in professional voice disorders, sleep medicine, obstructive sleep apnea, chronic rhinosinusitis, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, and rhinoplasty. His academic contributions include multiple publications in the field of Otolaryngology. Dr. Archer has also been recognized with awards such as the CMS Meaningful Use Certification and Regional Top Doctor from Castle Connolly. He was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Service award from his alma mater, The Chicago Medical School in 2025 and the Champion of the Voice award from OperaLex for his work with professional singers.
