Summary

  • As an oncology physiatrist—or cancer rehabilitation physician—my work is to help people through one of the most challenging and continually life changing events which affect every aspect of their life. As a younger medical subspecialty, I take pride in seeing and hope to showcase the progress we are making to improve lives of cancer patients and survivors by decreasing medical barriers that limit their ability to reach their goals and live a full life.

Having filled many different roles on the healthcare team, I have a unique perspective about each needed and invaluable role. I am anxious to find innovative ways to improve patient outcomes and share the impact through quality studies and help create evidence based medical practices and responsible healthcare economics.

I am a board certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician, with areas of clinical expertise include: identification, evaluation and rehabilitation of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, and functional disorders resulting from cancer and its treatment, including lymphedema, chronic radiation treatment effects, balance, musculoskeletal concerns, Neuropathies, and EMGs

Professional interests include building a sustainable comprehensive Oncological rehabilitation program across the continuum of cancer care—from diagnosis to remission to survivorship - within my community to guide people through restoring function and adding quality of life to cancer patients.
