Before medical school, she worked as a certified electronics technician first with Pioneer Service and Engineering and then at Hewlett-Packard; later pursuing physician assistant studies and practicing as a certified physician assistant for multiple medical groups for nearly a decade. Dr. Strube has published significant clinical case reports in several medical journals, delivered presentations to physicians, allied health, and the community on "ground level falls" in geriatric patients, and received various honors, including recognition for excellence in teaching hospital medicine. Since 2010, she has served as an academic hospitalist and academic staff member at St. Mary Medical Center.
