Summary

• The MSU COM Department of PA Medicine has made progress since my last update. We are soon having a follow up accreditation in 2024, after gaining provisional status in 2022. The first cohort of 32 students matriculated in the program May 18, 2022 and have completed the didactic portion by August 10, 2023. All 32 PA Students are now in 4 week clinical rotations, begining in Primary Care specialties, Internal Mediciine and Surgery. They will complete theie clinical assignments by Augst 30, 2024. Then Graduation of the first cohort will occur. Already the group has been scoring at and above the national averages for the End of Rotation Examinations. It has been an honor to see these students progress and I will share in their pride upon their graduation and subsequents employment.
