- Dr. Scott Sullivan is a specialty care physician board-certified in maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics and gynecology. He joined Inova Health System as Division Chief, Maternal-Fetal Medicine in 2022 and has been practicing since 2000.
He completed his specialty training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Louisville and subspecialty training in maternal-fetal medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston. During the fellowship, he also obtained a master's in clinical research. After completing his training, he joined the faculty of MUSC and served as residency director, fellowship director, division chief and vice chairman.
Dr. Sullivan is a diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and the subspecialty board of maternal-fetal medicine. He is also a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and currently serves as Secretary and Chair-Elect of District IV. He has been a board examiner for ABOG since 2011. In 2022, Dr. Sullivan was elected as Chair of the Virginia Maternal Health Data and Quality Measures (MHDQ) Task Force for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
His clinical interests include prenatal diagnosis, preterm delivery prevention, infectious diseases, thyroid disorders and patient safety.
