Dr. Sherronda Henderson completed medical school in 2003 at the University of Texas Medical Branch and remained to continue her residency and fellowship in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. She is board-certified by The American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.
She is the Division Director of Hematology/Oncology for the Baylor Scott and White Central Texas Market, encompassing the Temple, Waco, and Killeen cancer centers. She is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine – Temple, where she serves on the Admissions Interviewing Subcommittee. She was Program Director for the Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Training Program for six years and now is Associate Program Director.
She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, National Medical Association, American College of Physicians, and Texas Society of Oncology. She has professional interests in Genitourinary Oncology, Physician Wellness, and increasing underrepresented minority students in medical schools through mentorship and providing exposure to medicine.
