Summary
- With nearly 25 years of clinical experience after graduation from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, currently serving as Medical Director, Electrophysiology at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, Memorial Healthcare in South Florida.
I am also an Interventional Cardiologist and completed separate fellowships in Pediatric Interventional Cardiology and Pediatric Electrophysiology at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Emory University. I am board certified in Adult Congenital Heart Disease by ABIM and by IBHRE in Cardiac Electrophysiology.
My career has provided me with unique opportunities and a niche to practice full spectrum invasive electrophysiology and interventional cardiac catheterization in children and adults with congenital heart diseases. My varied experience and skill sets include complex combination cases with cardiac catheterization and interventions, EP studies and ablations, and device implants, often during single anesthesia events as the sole operator. These have included many complex ablations and newer interventions including transcatheter leadless pacemaker (MICRA) insertions, S-ICD implants in small children, transcatheter valve implants, perivalvar leak closures, transbaffle and recanalization interventions in children and adults with congenital heart disease and complex postoperative anatomy.
In my career I have been blessed with exposure and experience in pioneer health care institutions like AIIMS, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Emory University under numerous legendary teachers, mentors and leaders in our field. I strive to continue the journey as long as I am able to with the lifelong goal of learning and using the knowledge to serve the patients and families wherever I can.
