Summary

  • I am a MD MPH resident physician in Internal Medicine with a passion for healthcare policy and systems research. I am a former public high school teacher who came to medicine with a passion for advocacy and an understanding of the myriad of social issues that affect the health of the populations we serve. During medical school, I worked with the Texas Medical Association as an intern in the Division of Advocacy, was the lead editor of an on campus global health magazine, and hosted engaging op-ed writing workshops in an effort to give medical students the opportunity to make their voices heard. Overall, I am a self-motivated, hard-working resident excited to provide excellent care to my patients while also fighting for a more efficient and equitable healthcare system for the population I serve.
