Summary
- After 30 years in clinical OBGYN practice I have limited my clinical work and have taken a full-time consulting position with Tegria. My role is CMIO Advisor for a large healthcare system as they work to implement the Epic EHR in 2025. I will remain a Clinical Associate Professor of OBGYN at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and continue Labor and Delivery attending work.
I'm board certified in OBGYN as well as subspeciality Board Certified in Clinical Informatics and am a Fellow of The American Medical Informatics Association (FAMIA).
Areas of emphasis in informatics have included helping to develop the UCHealth EHR "Sprint" optimization program in which we have trained 7000+ providers and staff in 400+ clinics in best practice use of EHR with focus on end user efficiency, provider resilience, and decrease in burnout.
I also have led the UCHealth system inpatient order set standardization project, working with multiple service lines to reduce unnecessary variation and improve quality with evidence-based order sets across a health system.
