• Steven L Haddad MD is an orthopaedic surgeon who attended medical school at The Johns Hopkins University (1985-1989), residency at Georgetown University Department of Orthopaedic Surgery (1989-1995) and performed a Foot and Ankle Fellowship at the Union Memorial Hospital (1995-1996) with Mark Myerson Fellowship Director. He is past president of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (2013-2014), past president of the Orthopaedic Learning Center Board of Directors (2018-2019), and past chair of the AAOS CME Courses Committee and AOFAS Education Committee. His research awards include the Roger H. Michael Award and the Roger Mann Award, and teaching awards include the James K Stack Resident Teaching Award and six-time winner of the Best Lecturer Award at the JBJS/Miller Orthopaedic Review Course (2013, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2023, 2025) and Best Lecturer at the Oxford Review Course (2018, 2022, 2024, 2025). He was Program Chair for the AOFAS (2004-2005, 2018-2019), created and chaired the AOFAS Complications Course (2007, 2015), the AAOS Advanced Techniques in Foot and Ankle Surgery, the AAOS Total Ankle Arthroplasty Course (four times), and the AAOS International Foot and Ankle Course. He lectures domestically and internationally on total ankle arthroplasty and other topics concerning complex foot and ankle reconstruction. He has been heavily involved in total ankle arthroplasty design and development since 2008, first for Wright Medical Technologies, and now for Stryker Orthopaedics. He is also involved in product design and development for Extremity Medical, where he serves as Chief Clinical Officer since 2022. Most important, he is a certified River Cruise Docent for the Chicago Architecture Center, a Lector at Our Lady of Perpetual Health, a rock and blues guitarist, and learning to be a luthier building solid body electric guitars.
