Summary

  • I am a radiologist at NYU Grossman School of Medicine with expertise in cancer imaging. My goal is to provide the best care for people with cancer, perform cutting-edge research to advance medicine, and to train the next generation of cancer experts.

My experience involves a combination of body and molecular imaging. I interpret CT, MRI, and PET of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis. I have worked at top academic centers in both Korea and the United States.

I work closely with my colleagues in medical oncology, surgery, radiation oncology, and pathology. Our collective goal is to provide the best evidence-based care to those with cancer by combining our expertise. We strive to provide each and every person with care tailored to their specific needs and circumstances. It is a privilege for me to have the opportunity to contribute to and collaborate with world-class experts to accomplish this goal.

My research primarily focuses on imaging of prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers, as well as gynecologic cancers. The goal of my research is to assess how these cancers spread to other parts of the body, evaluate treatment response, and predict prognosis. I am especially interested in how advanced imaging such as cutting-edge MRI techniques and novel PET techniques can be used as biomarkers to improve how we diagnose and treat these cancers. Furthermore, I am interested in exploring and optimizing radiology reporting, such as standardized or structured reporting, to improve communication with patients, referring physicians and different stakeholders.
