He directed the Chronic Pain Service at Johns Hopkins University and the Division of Pain Medicine at Cornell University, and then founded the Interventional Pain Program at Moffitt Cancer Center. He specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery and interventional pain medicine and is experienced in treating spinal stenosis, herniated discs, spine and joint arthropathies, neuropathic pain, and also utilizes spinal cord and peripheral neurostimulation. He is widely published in the field and lectures internationally on these topics.
