Overview of  Dr. Tripathi

Dr. Susmit Tripathi is a Neurologist based in Baltimore, MD. He earned his MD and an NIH-funded MS in Clinical Research Methods at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Adult Neurology at New York Presbyterian-Cornell, where he served as chief resident, followed by a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology (Epilepsy and Intraoperative Neuromonitoring) at the same institution.

He currently serves as the Director of Intraoperative Neuromonitoring at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. His clinical practice at the University of Maryland Medical Center (a premier shock trauma and NAEC Level 4 epilepsy center) includes outpatient and inpatient epilepsy care, critical care electroencephalography, as well as intraoperative neuromonitoring. His team supports critical decision-making in approximately 2,000 cases annually, utilizing real-time functional brain mapping, electrocorticography, evoked potentials, electromyography and nerve conduction studies.

His research focuses on implementing innovative technologies in patient care, including smartphone, wearable, and implantable devices. He also works with trainees at all levels and has received multiple teaching awards throughout his career.
