Summary
- T. Raymond Foley MD is an interventional cardiologist trained in minimally invasive catheter-based therapies for coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease and valvular heart disease. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Vermont and attended medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, where he served as Clinical Instructor in Internal Medicine and remained to complete fellowships in cardiology and vascular medicine. Dr. Foley then completed a two year fellowship in coronary, peripheral and structural interventions at Scripps Clinic in San Diego. He has a particular interest in percutaneous procedures for complex coronary artery disease and valvular heart disease.
Dr. Foley performs transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and mitral valve repair (MitraClip), Watchman left atrial appendage closure (LAAC), percutaneous closure of patent foramen ovale (PFO), atrial septal defect (ASD) and ventricular septal defect (VSD), as well as complex coronary and peripheral artery interventions.
Dr. Foley is actively involved in clinical research focusing on catheter-based therapies for heart disease and has co-authored more than 20 peer reviewed articles. He enjoys getting to know his patients and working with them to optimize their cardiovascular health and quality of life.
