  • I am a board-certified in emergency medicine and addiction medicine and continue to work clinically in both fields.

    I am the Chief Executive Officer of Transitions Addiction Medicine Group, medical director at Transitions Clinic of Sacramento, an Implementation Leader with the CA Bridge Program, Volunteer Clinical Faculty at UC Davis Medical Center, and the Director of Strategic Initiatives with Sacramento Street Medicine.

    I completed medical school at UC Davis School of Medicine, residency training in Emergency Medicine at UCSF-San Francisco General Hospital, and fellowship training in Health Policy and Advocacy at UC Davis Medical Center. I am pursuing a Masters degree in Health Policy and Law at UC Law SF and UCSF.

    I have been on the Board of Directors of California ACEP, a delegate to the California Medical Association, and am currently involved with the American Society of Addiction Medicine and California Society of Addiction Medicine.

    I also host a podcast called Recovery Reform: Navigating Harm Reduction, Recovery, and Drug Policy which explores substance use disorders, harm reduction, and recovery through discussions with people with lived experience, experts in harm reduction and drug policy, and leaders in addiction psychology and treatment.
