Dr. Teja Kapoor is an academic rheumatologist at Columbia University Irving Medical Center-NY Presbyterian. She is the Director of the interdisciplinary Columbia Sjogren's Center and Fellowship Director for the Columbia Rheumatology Training Program. She completed her medical education at New York Medical College in 2006, followed by an internal medicine residency at Rutgers Health/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School from 2010 to 2013, and a rheumatology fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital (Columbia Campus) from 2013 to 2015. Dr. Kapoor has published several notable papers, including works on hydroxychloroquine's role during the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on systemic lupus erythematosus, platelet activation markers, the prevalence of PML in lupus, and cardiac diagnostics in lupus.
