  • Timothy A. Schaub, MD, MBA, FACS is a triple board-certified plastic, hand, and microsurgeon recognized for his leadership in complex pediatric and reconstructive microsurgery. He currently serves as Section Chief of Plastic Surgery and Medical Director of the Hand, Microsurgery, and Brachial Plexus Programs at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, Florida.

    Previously, Dr. Schaub served as Chief of Pediatric Hand and Microsurgery at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and the Luskin Orthopaedic Institute for Children, where he specialized in complex pediatric upper-limb reconstruction. Prior to that, he led the Hand, Microsurgery, and Complex Wound Programs at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, creating one of the highest-volume pediatric microsurgery centers in the Southwest.

    An accomplished educator and academic leader, Dr. Schaub has held associate professorships at UCLA, the University of Arizona, and Creighton University, and remains active in training residents and fellows across orthopaedic and plastic surgery disciplines. His research and more than 40 invited lectures and presentations have focused on congenital hand anomalies, pediatric limb salvage, and reconstructive innovation.

    Dr. Schaub earned his MBA in Healthcare Leadership from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, graduating with the Dean’s Medal and recognition among Poets & Quants’ Best & Brightest Executive MBA Graduates. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an active member of ASSH and ASRM.
