I am boarded in Internal Medicine (2010), and currently practicing as a Hospitalist at South Miami Hospital, where I was Assistant Medical Director of Hospitalist Services. Hospitalists work to ensure prompt and complete attention to all patient care needs by collaborating, communicating, and coordinating with all physicians and healthcare personnel caring for patients. This EASILY extrapolates to delivery of quality of care, which is why I also pursued training in Palliative Medicine (2012), a specialty that focuses on elucidating patient and family needs and expectations to optimize their healthcare experience. In 2014, I also completed a MBA in Health Sector Policy and Management so that I can identify the best and most proficient methods in meeting quality care standards while ensuring ensure patient satisfaction.
After almost 10 years of acute care experience, I have come to enjoy and excel at managing patients with complex chronic medical conditions; guiding patients and family compassionately and expeditiously through the medical system. I now seek to do that chronic and complex management with patients on a long term basis and not just at times of acute need because the value is much greater and more effective in the context of long term relationships.
I am fluent in English, have a working proficiency in Spanish, and am conversational in Arabic.
