Summary

• I'm a child & adolescent psychiatrist who trained physicians and medical students, as the Division Director for Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School for 13 years. I worked a busy emergency room and sub-specialty clinics. I specialize in medicine treatments for Tourette Syndrome, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, mood disorders, learning disorders, and anxiety disorders. I am honored to have been recognized by the readers of NJ Family Magazine as one of just five "New Jersey's Favorite Kids' Docs" in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (Essex County, December 2016.)
  
  I favor an inclusive, collaborative approach and like to work closely with families, schools, and therapists. I believe in cautious prescribing based on evidence. My evaluations are comprehensive and include the integration of prior assessments and test reports. I am psychodynamically aware and include behavioral treatments in my care.
  
  In addition to my clinical focus above, I have worked with adoptive and foster children, gifted children, children of trauma, medically ill children (diabetes, accidental injury, catastrophic illness, and HIV) and children in the context of family distress. I have worked rural America and the inner city.
