Summary
- I am the Section Chief of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine for the OU College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics.
Most recently I served as director of the Neonatal Redox Biology Laboratory at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, as associate director of the Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship Program and physician lead for Family Centered Care Initiative in the Regional Newborn Intensive Care Unit.
Originally from rural Wabash County, Indiana, I earned my medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine and then completed a residency in general pediatrics and fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
I have a special interest in redox biology, lung development and lung injury/repair with a long history of grant funding from the National Institutes of Health.
