Summary
- I am a neurologist offering care to all adult patients with neurological conditions, such as seizure disorders, headache, dementia, and neuromuscular disorders. I have a special clinical interest and expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of neuroimmunologic disorders, such as multiple sclerosis and autoimmune encephalitis, for patients of all ages.
Research/Academic Interests
My major research focus is directed towards understanding the basic mechanisms of myelin, the lipid rich sheath that covers the projections of neurons, with the hopes of developing restorative therapies. I am also interested in the basic mechanisms of neuroinflammation and cannabinoids in the brain. I also have an interest in the use of advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to improve the management of complex medical conditions.
