Overview of Dr. Krishnan

Dr. Usha Krishnan is a Pediatric Cardiologist based in New York, specializing in pulmonary hypertension, pediatric cardiac critical care and pediatric echocardiography. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at GS Medical College in India and at Westchester Medical Center, NY and a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Bombay University and at Columbia University Medical Center and New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Krishnan has expertise in pulmonary hypertension, medical missions, and neonatal cardiology. Her published work includes research on pulmonary vein stenosis, pulmonary hypertension, and congenital diaphragmatic hernia. She has received several honors, including the Dr. Thomas Starc Humanism in Medicine Award and the Julie Vincent Leadership in Medicine Award. Dr. Krishnan is also a member of the Virginia Apgar Society of Medical Educators and on the executive committee of the Academy of Clinical Excellence where she chairs the communication and outreach committee. She is the editor-in-chief of the journal Advances in Pulmonary Hypertension, and is on the editorial board of several other journals.
