• Dr. Vishal S. Kapadia is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Neonatal–Perinatal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and serves as Director of Clinical Research for the Division. His work focuses on advancing evidence-based care for critically ill and preterm newborns, particularly in delivery room stabilization, neonatal resuscitation, oxygen targeting strategies, and cardiopulmonary physiology. Dr. Kapadia has held national leadership roles, including Immediate Past Co-Chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Steering Committee and Neonatal Life Support Content Expert for the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR). Through these roles, he has contributed to shaping contemporary neonatal resuscitation guidelines and practice standards. He is an active investigator in multicenter clinical trials and collaborative neonatal research networks, with numerous peer-reviewed publications in leading journals. His research spans delivery room management, respiratory support strategies, post-resuscitation physiology, and implementation science.
  In addition to his academic work, Dr. Kapadia is a physician–innovator developing AI-driven simulation and debriefing tools to enhance neonatal resuscitation training and quality improvement.
