- Dr. William Dowling is a retired orthopedic surgeon in Basking Ridge, NJ where he practiced for thirty-five years before moving to Morristown, NJ. He has been affiliated with Morristown Medical Center since beginning practice in 1976, and he served as the Chair of Orthopedics from 1999 until retirement from clinical practice in 2016. He returned to MMC in 2018 as interim Chief Medical Officer until 2020 when he resumed retirement. He received his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 1971 and has been in practice 46 years. He is now fully retired.
