His clinical trial work involves innovative approaches to treating cancers and he is an established leader in cooperative trial organizations. Throughout his distinguished career, he has received several honors, including the Senior Scientist of the Year award and the Lifetime Service Award from the American Board of Radiology, as well as fellowship in the American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology, the American College of Radiology, and the American College of Radiation Oncology.
