In 2025, he joined the Cardiac and Vascular Interventional Group as its Chief Medical Officer and general cardiologist. His work focuses on improving hypertension control and overcoming disparities in the management of arterial vascular disease in South Dallas.

    He is also a recognized author with multiple well-cited publications in Circulation. Dr. Lawrence has received many honors including the Faculty of the American Heart Association, Faculty of American College of Cardiology, and Faculty of American College of Physicians. The American Heart Association named him its Physician of the Year in 2011 and awarded him the Louis B. Russell Jr. Award in 2024 for his national work and commitment to improving hypertension control.
