Summary

• Medicine is my second career. I have always enjoyed understanding people and their abilities, concerns, challenges, as well as their goals in life. My objective was to empower them to harness their abilities to overcome the challenges they face and achieve their goals. I chose to specialize in nephrology because I like the longitudinal relationship I can establish with my patients.
  
  The practice of medicine gives me the opportunity to connect with people to educate them and empower them to manage their chronic medical conditions to stay healthy. Kidney failure is a serious condition that afflicts many people in this country. This condition is life-altering and carries a heavy financial and social burden on patients. Anything I can do to alleviate the impact of this burden on my patient is quite rewarding to me.
  
  Every patient is unique and important, and they should be treated with respect, love, and compassion. I believe in treating the whole patient and not just their kidney disease. I love to establish a lasting relationship with my patients. Ultimately, a patient’s experience should be the yardstick by which a physician’s quality of service must be measured.
