• Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Guislain earned a BA in Biology and French at Kansas State, then attended the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, graduating with her M.D. in 1993. She trained in Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee in Nashville, where she was also Chief Medical resident, and then moved back to Kansas City to start practicing medicine in her hometown in 1997. She holds the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award in Continuing Medical Education with Commendation for Self-Directed Learning. Dr. Guislain is on outpatient staff at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission. Interests include: yoga, gardening, and art. She works at the urgent care in Roeland Park as well as keeps regular hours during the day for primary care. As a clinical professor for the University of Kansas Medical school, Dr. Guislain helps train the next generation of doctors. These activities keep Dr. Guislain at the cutting edge of current medical knowledge in internal medicine.
