NYU Grossman School of Medicine
Surgery Residency Program · New York, NY
The NYU School of Medicine General Surgery Residency has long been considered one of the top surgical training programs. However, we do not rest on our successful history alone. Rather we strive to train the surgeon of the future by giving the trainee the tools, the mentorship and the opportunities to strive in clinical surgery, research (clinical or basic), surgical education, or other leadership skills in Quality or Professionalism development. Residents rotate through three unique hospital settings: NYU Langone Medical Center (Private), Bellevue Hospital Center (Public), and VA Harbor Manhattan (Federal). Our dedicated faculty provide surgical residents with a progressive and graded curriculum of study and clinical experience under guidance. The program also boasts an ACS Accredited Surgical Skills Lab, Quality Improvement Curriculum, a Robotics Curriculum, ATOM and ASSET courses, and a Simulation Curriculum in a new world-class SIM Center.
